Dear Parents

I am delighted that Gatehouse School is again celebrating the Harvest Festival by collecting for the First Love Foundation based in Tower Hamlets.
As in previous years, the school is collecting donations via the House system and this year the boxes for donations will be in the Wallbank Hall. The four boxes for Dragons, Phoenix, Sphinx and Unicorns will be in the Wallbank Hall from later on today (Thursday 17 October) and we will keep collecting up to Friday 1 November. Nursery parents – please could you donate directly to the boxes in Nursery.
You are welcome to donate ANY items of long life food or household goods, but the First Love Foundation have said that they would particularly welcome donations of:
Coffee
Long-life fruit juice
Long-life milk
Rice, 500g
Sugar, 500g
Vegetarian tinned meals
Meat tinned meals
Tinned spaghetti
Washing powder
Washing-up liquid
Nappies, size 4
Plastic carrier bags
After 1 November, a representative from the First Love Foundation will come to Gatehouse and take away our donations for weighing, separating and then donating to families who really need it.
Last year, Gatehouse’s contributions meant that the First Love Foundation was able to provide 879 meals worth of food to 88 families.  Gatehouse donations weighed a whopping 439.3kg – Whoop!
Please send donations in right up to Friday 1 November. All will be gratefully received.

Thank you so very much for your support in this; it is so very much appreciated.

Kindest regards and happy donating!
PS please no fruit, veg or perishables.  🙂
