A Virtual Journey to Protect Our Planet

On Wednesday, our Eco Warriors and Year 6 pupils took part in an exciting and immersive virtual reality workshop, travelling around the planet with Glido the droid and friends.

During their journey, the children explored a range of real-world environmental challenges, including ocean pollution, plastic waste, overfishing, fast fashion, transport emissions, and climate change. The experience brought these global issues to life, helping pupils to understand both their scale and their impact on our planet.

Following the virtual exploration, pupils discussed practical actions they can take to help protect the environment. These included using renewable energy, choosing local and sustainable products, cycling or walking instead of using cars, avoiding single-use plastics, and making thoughtful choices to reduce their carbon footprint.

The workshop was highly engaging and informative, and it was fantastic to see pupils so enthusiastic and reflective. They left feeling inspired, empowered, and motivated to make positive changes and play their part in caring for our planet.

A brilliant experience that perfectly supports our commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility.
