Celebrations and Special Events

Throughout the year, Gatehouse Nursery children enjoy a variety of special events, celebrations and experiences that enrich their learning and introduce them to the wider world.

From celebrating birthdays and taking part in drama workshops to welcoming visiting speakers and parents who share their experiences, we provide opportunities for children to explore new ideas, develop their confidence and create lasting memories.

As a school with a Christian foundation, we celebrate important Christian traditions, including Christmas and Easter, with Nursery children taking part in our much-loved Nativity performances.

We also value and celebrate the diversity of our school community. Throughout the year, children explore a range of religious and cultural festivals, including Hanukkah, Diwali, Chinese New Year, Ramadan, Eid and Vesak. These experiences help children develop an understanding of different beliefs, traditions and cultures, encouraging curiosity, kindness and respect for others.

We warmly welcome parents and families to share their own traditions, cultures and celebrations, helping us create an inclusive Nursery community where every child feels valued and a sense of belonging.
